2008

1977 Cyrus Noble Mini Porcelain Gambler's Lady Decanter Skillfully crafted porcelain mini decanter stands 6 1/4 inches tall on a 1 1/2 inch wide base. Wearing a long yellow gown adorned with embossed flowers and ribbons, the Gambler’s Lady is quite an elegant looking figure.

Where would those miners go after long days spent sifting through ore samples in hopes of finding that big claim? That saloon probably looked very inviting with its pretty local women and available whiskey.

To prevent leaking, the decanter has been emptied and the lady’s head glued in place. Stamped under the base, Haas Brothers, 1977 with a gold foil Cyrus Noble label on the backside, this little lady is a terrific addition to a barware display.

17157

Vitro Glass Monterrey Mexico Wine Decanter with Spigot This is a visually stunning glass wine decanter standing 15 3/4 inches tall to the edge of the lip and measuring 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches across the base. A regal looking figure of King Louis of France is embossed on the front panel with large grape clusters on the side panels.

Marked with the letter V in a Circle under the base, the decanter was produced by Vitro Glass, formerly known as Vidriera Glass of Monterrey, Mexico. This glass manufacturer, founded in the early 1900’s, is one of the oldest and largest glass makers in the world.

There is some loss to the gold tone on the spigot, but this does not detract from the decanter’s look. We did fill the bottle with water and upon opening the spigot, water flows well, and closes to shut off. Whether you choose to put this wine decanter to actual use, or make it a focal point of a barware display, this tall vintage green glass decanter will serve you well.

Ezra Brooks 1973 Hobo Clown Decanter Heritage China Marvelous detail and vibrant coloring bring this 1973 clown to life. 1910

1975 Cyrus Noble Decanter The Bar Keep - Mine Series As part of its fourteen mini decanter characters for its 70’s Mine Series, Cyrus Noble depicted the Bar Keeper at a mining town saloon. Standing 6 1/4 inches tall on a 1 1/2 inch wide base, the Bar Keep can be found at his favorite stand dispensing some of that whiskey the miners sought out after hours of sifting through ore samples hoping to hit it big.

The miniature decanter is in fine vintage condition with Cyrus Noble Mine embossed on the front of the base. The contents have been emptied and the head is glued in place.

Produced over $250,000.00 is stamped on the backside and this mark makes reference to the true story of miner John Coleman, who in 1901, traded his mining claim in Searchlight, Nevada for a bottle of Cyrus Noble bourbon. Turns out that what he thought was a worthless mine yielded over a quarter of a million dollars in gold and silver nuggets, and became known as the Cyrus Noble Mine.

17161

Knox Imperial USA Humorous Pistol Club Member Stein Well-crafted white and gold ceramic stein stands 5 1/2 inches tall on a 4 inch wide stepped base. Gold banding around rim and raised beadwork under the printed saying gives this stein a regal look. Once you’ve read the printed saying, you realize that regal isn’t an accurate description of this humorous, fun tankard.

Member Pistol Club, Drink Till 12:00, Pistol Dawn requires a working funny bone, and slightly less than a proper sense of humor. If this fits the bill for you, or someone you know who could be gifted with this offbeat stein, it’s ready for a new home.

The stein has no cracks, chips, or nicks, but there is some age related darkening on the interior bottom. The Knox Imperial name, Alliance Ohio is recessed into the base.

Large Ceramic Stein with Dutch/German Figures-VERA This terrific blue and white ceramic stein or tankard stands 7 inches tall and has a 4 inch diameter base. Lots of fine detail on this wrap around design of three separate vine pattern ovals. One has a sole woman, one a man, and the third is a couple all dressed in period clothing.

Raised scrolling and geometric designs enhance the entire surface. Inscribed with the name Vera, under the base, we believe this may be a Vera Bradley design, but we are not certain. The stein has no chips or nicks, only some age related darkening on the interior bottom, but over-all it is in fine condition.

Click for more detail...
2006

Cyrus Noble Miniature Decanter John Snowshoe Thompson John Snowshoe Thomson delivered the mail and rescued trapped, snowbound individuals for twenty years during the mid 1800’s. On his three day mail run from Genoa, Nevada to Placerville, California, Snowshoe wore his ten foot long handmade oak skis and single pole to journey through the snow.

To honor the Norwegian born Thomson, who became known as the Viking of the Sierra Mountains, Cyrus Noble created this miniature decanter standing 6 1/2 inches tall and nearly 2 inches wide. The legend of Snowshoe Thomson lives on with this 1975 Haas Brothers distilled Cyrus Noble Grenadine miniature. To prevent leaking and accidental breakage of the porcelain, the decanter has been drained and the brim of his hat glued in place.

2007

Cyrus Noble Whiskey Drummer Decanter – Mine Series As part of their 1970’s Mine Series, Cyrus Noble created a miniature decanter depicting the well dressed gent known as the Whiskey Drummer. Back in 1801, a miner by the name of John Coleman had traded away his Searchlight, Nevada mine claim for a bottle of Cyrus Noble Bourbon. When it was later discovered that his stake was worth over $250,000.00 in gold and silver nuggets, it became known as the Cyrus Noble Mine.

The drummer stands 6 1/4 inches tall on a 1 1/2 inch wide base. Barrels of bourbon whiskey surround him and he holds a glass in one hand and a liquor bottle in the other hand. The contents of the decanter have been drained and the drummer’s head glued in place.
