Measuring 8 inches across from tip of the spout and standing 2 3/4 inches tall, is this old sauce/gravy boat, marked T S & T under the base, along with Capitol Ivory and the #29. Although Taylor, Smith and Taylor did use the initials T S & T on many of its creations, we have not been able to identify this piece with certainty.
The pattern on the gravy boat is a wrap-around design with one blue band of geometrics and florals. Beneath the blue band is a swag treatment of pink roses and leaves that also encircles the gravy/sauce boat.
There are no chips, cracks, or nicks on this piece but there is age browning, and some loss of the gold trim on the handle that we note. |
