Marvelous vintage condiment set manufactured as early as 1919.
The wording underneath the 7 1/8 inch long oval tray reads Silver Plate with a bar design hallmark. Inside the rectangular bar is a crown, stylized letter S, and a crest which was used by the Sheffield Company of Brooklyn, N.Y.

The 4 1/2 inch tall tray features an ornately designed keyhole handle and has two recesses for the condiment jars.
The jars are 4 inches tall to the top of the lids and each has a hallmarked spoon with an open/pierced handle. On the back of the spoon bowl, there is a pineapple design with #830S mark (possibly used to notate silver content).
The set is fine condition without dings or gauges. The glass jars have no chips, nicks or flakes. There is some wear to the finish on the tray handles, but this is minimal in keeping with its vintage age. |
