The Corina cigar box measures 6 1/4 inches by 8 1/4 inches with a 2 1/4 inch depth.
On top is printed Corina Jey CIA and on the side of the box, Larks, Extra Mild. Factory #70 Dist. LA, and 50, which we believe to be the year date, is printed underneath the base. The E tax stamp states that the cigars once contained in this box sold for not less than 8 cents each and not more than 15 cents each, and that the appropriate tax had been paid.
The hinged latching device works well, the box has no flaws that we note, and the printing is intact. For its fifty plus years of age, this Corina Larks wooden box is in fine vintage shape. |
