This old creamer and sugar bowl done in eye catching florals and geometric designs of orange, gold, black and cream colors has a red backstamp bearing a wreath with a double M. The mark represents the Moriyama Factory of Morimachi, Japan, during its manufacturing years of 1926-1929.
The creamer stands 3 1/2 inches in height, with the sugar measuring 3 3/4 inches in height. The sugar bowl does not have a lid.
Both pieces have a crackle appearance on their surface and there are no chips, flakes or loss to the vivid colors. This vintage set also has the words, Handpainted, Japan under each base. |
