This vintage California Originals twosome has a 7 inch in diameter scalloped/ruffled undertray paired with a 4 1/2 inch tall dome bottomed vase. These are handcrafted ceramic pieces with a silver slip/overlay which gives them a unique metal look.
The vase has a slender neck and a top opening of 1 1/4 inches and would make for an appealing floral arrangement with the use of bright flowers. The sticker under the vase is printed with the company name, South Vermont Ave., Torrance, Calif.
Suggested care for these pieces is simply to wipe them with a clean cloth; unlike metal, no polishing is required. These two could also be used as separate pieces, as a low bowl and vase, rather than an undertray. However you wish to display them, they are in fine condition without any chips, cracks, nicks, with only light scuffing/scratching noted. |
