Lenox, the name we have come to associate with fine porcelain and glass ware items, also manufactured stoneware during the mid seventies to eighties time frame. The 10 1/4 inches in diameter dinner plates, in the Quakertown pattern have a Pennsylvania Dutch look to them. Flowers in yellow, pink, and blue colors with stylized leaves decorate the recessed center of the plate, and surround the entire rim. Green banding on a marble cream/ivory background enhances the design.
These plates have some heftiness to them, were made to go from freezer to oven, from microwave to dishwasher, and were made in the USA. They can withstand both the heat and the cold, and are both practical and attractive.
The Lenox name and Quakertown are stamped on the backside. We note only some minor utensil marks on these fine vintage plates. |
