Vintage mortar measures 4 1/4 inches in height, is 3 1/2 inches in dimeter across the top, and is 2 inches deep. Matching pestle is 5 1/2 inches long and is 1 3/8 inches wide at the end opposite the handle.
Mortar sits on a stepped base and is carved from hardwood, possibly oak. The pestle is made from the same wood and features a ring design on the handle.
Set is unused condition, with a rich, warm woodgrain. Wood is in great condition.
Whether for use or display, this is a very attractive set. |
