Wonderful pinched lip pottery pitcher measures 5 3/4 inches in height, 5 inches across the top from the handle to the pouring spout and is approximately 4 1/3 inches across the widest part of the body.
Body of the pitcher is an off-white color with abstract handpainted design of a bird and leaves done in rust, blue, black and green. Figural handle is done in a bird shape with painted feathers and eyes. Bottom of pitcher is impressed Made in Japan.
In good overall condition. There is crazing throughout the body of the pitcher, which appears like a crackle effect and lends to the charm to this piece. We also note discoloration on the interior of the pitcher. |
