Offered for your consideration is this odd lot grouping of Pico, Made in Occupied Japan miniatures. Three pieces, a cup, mini plate/saucer, and creamer have identical floral design of pretty pink and blue flowers with green leaves with gold banding. A fourth piece, another creamer, has a burgundy and pink flower pattern. Marked Pico, Occupied Japan, and Japan.
Purchased at an estate sale which included many Japanese miniatures, this charming grouping has what appears to be a creamer with a ceramic insert secured into the top opening. There is a small opening in the cover which allows for 2 to 3 artificial buds. These are removable, the cover is not. Nice thing is you can switch flower buds from time to time for a new look.
Petite cup is only 1 1/8 inches tall and measures 1 1/2 inch in diameter. The accompanying plate is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and has scalloped gold edging. The creamer/vase stands 1 1/2 inches tall and is 2 inches across. The remaining handled creamer in the non-matching floral design also stands 1 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches across. |
