This is a terrific find at an estate sale for a cast iron wood burning stove manufactured more than sixty years ago.

The sixty plus year old gentleman who was selling his mother’s estate stated that the cast iron stove had been in his parent’s home from his earliest memory as a young boy.
The pot belly stove stands 7 3/4 inches tall and measures 4 1/4 inches wide on four paw style feet. The name Blaze is embossed on the front of the stove.
In searching for the origin of this piece, we found two cast iron manufacturers using Blaze as part of their identity. One is actually located in England, but seems to make only full size wood burning stoves. The other, Blaze King, has been in business in the United States for over 70 years so this could fit time line but could find no miniatures currently being made. |
