Standing 6 1/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide, this mining town blacksmith is one of the fourteen characters created for the 70’s Cyrus Noble Mine series. The contents of the decanter have been emptied and his head has been glued in place to prevent leakage over time and accidental breakage of the porcelain.
The front has the embossed Cyrus Noble name and the side states, Produced Over $250,000.00 which refers to the 1901 trade of miner John Coleman’s claim for a bottle of bourbon. The mine yielded over a quarter of a million dollars in gold and silver and became known as the Cyrus Noble Mine. Terrific addition to a barware display and it is in excellent condition.
