This Wedgwood plate was produced in 1999 for the 2000 calendar year. Entitled Millennium Art & Music, it features 12 predominant artists throughout history, one for each month of the year.
On the front of the plate there is a picture of the artist along with their name. The backside of the plate lists the artist, field of expertise, year dates and some of their noted compositions.
Features such artists as John Constable, William Morris, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Clarice Cliff, Sir Thomas Beecham, and Gilbert & Sullivan among others.
Plate is good condition, free of any chips, cracks or flakes. Kiln marks are present on the backside from where the plate was fired during manufacture.
In addition to the artist information on the backside, plate is marked: Wedgwood Calendar Plate Queens Ware Made in England. |
