Standing 6 1/4 inches tall on a 1 1/2 inch wide base, the Bar Keep can be found at his favorite stand dispensing some of that whiskey the miners sought out after hours of sifting through ore samples hoping to hit it big.
The miniature decanter is in fine vintage condition with Cyrus Noble Mine embossed on the front of the base. The contents have been emptied and the head is glued in place.
Produced over $250,000.00 is stamped on the backside and this mark makes reference to the true story of miner John Coleman, who in 1901, traded his mining claim in Searchlight, Nevada for a bottle of Cyrus Noble bourbon. Turns out that what he thought was a worthless mine yielded over a quarter of a million dollars in gold and silver nuggets, and became known as the Cyrus Noble Mine. |
