John Snowshoe Thomson delivered the mail and rescued trapped, snowbound individuals for twenty years during the mid 1800’s. On his three day mail run from Genoa, Nevada to Placerville, California, Snowshoe wore his ten foot long handmade oak skis and single pole to journey through the snow.
To honor the Norwegian born Thomson, who became known as the Viking of the Sierra Mountains, Cyrus Noble created this miniature decanter standing 6 1/2 inches tall and nearly 2 inches wide. The legend of Snowshoe Thomson lives on with this 1975 Haas Brothers distilled Cyrus Noble Grenadine miniature.
