Based on a French tale of 3 soldiers returning from war, this classic Marcia Brown book, relates a story of towns people, who were unwilling to share food with three hungry soldiers until the three men began cooking their own Stone Soup.
The hard cover book, first published in 1947, had a new printing in 1975. Since that time, the book has gained much recognition for its story content and subtle life lessons. The book is in very fine condition with its only issues being creased areas on the left side top and bottom of the cover. The binding is tight, the pages are not torn or dog-eared, and there are no marks, writings on any of its pages.
Illustrations by the author are done in brown, white and russet, orange color tones and are found on all of the book’s 40+ pages. A difficult to find, very collectible book, which is certain to increase in value.
