Pretty yellow and orange flowers decorate this hexagonal 10 inch by 7 1/4 inch platter. There are some areas of acid staining, crazing and knife marks, but this vintage 80 years of age platter is without any cracks, chips, or nicks.
The Homer Laughlin stamp is worn but can be seen on the backside, along with the #B8N5. This marking dates the platter as being manufactured in February of 1928. During the 1920’s, Homer Laughlin used letters A-M to designate month of manufacture (no letter I was used), and just a single digit represented the year. Two letters, either an L or an N, along with a single digit number, represented the plant location. |
