We may not be 100% certain of the character represented by this handmade 10 1/2 inch older gentleman doll. We do know that it has been skillfully crafted and artfully dressed with much attention to detail as part of the Sister Eleanor Collection of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity.
The doll which is on a 4 inch by 3 1/2 inch wooden stand has an expressive face, white hair and mustache and a fedora hat on his head. Dressed in a brown suit, white shirt with tie and stickpin, he looks quite the handsome senior citizen ready for a walk, cane in hand.
Well, does this doll remind you of Charlie Chaplin or for you sixties TV fans, Arte Johnson’s priceless old man on park bench character, or perhaps someone else? He’s marvelously made, comes in the original box, and is ready for a new home.
