This oversized 10 inch wide by 13 1/2 inch long book is entitled, Pinocchio Beloved Classic by Carlo Collodi. This is a complete, unabridged edition, 2nd printing, Deluxe Golden Book published in 1966 by Golden Press, NY.

Book is based on the famous illustrated classic written by Carlo Lorenzini in 1880, who signed his manuscript with the pseudonym, Collodi (the name of the village his mother came from). Born in Florence, Italy on Nov. 24, 1826 Collodi was a soldier, teacher and journalist. He edited newspapers and reviews in addition to writing many articles for adults and children. Of all of his writings, this is the book for which he is most remembered.

Pinocchio embodies the joys and trials of childhood. It is hailed as one of the true classics which has been told throughout many generations.
