A wonderful 7 inch commemorative Homer Laughlin stamped ashtray done in brown, ivory and blue colors celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Bell System and H.G.McCully Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America. The anniversary celebration was held in Atlantic City and this information is also printed on the ashtray.
Finding an almost sixty year collectible in excellent condition has become increasingly difficult and this one is without damage issues with only some slight loss to the gold trim. The triangle symbol for the Bell System is on front of the ashtray along with the Bell building in Union City, New Jersey.
The Laughlin blank was decorated by LaRou of Union City, N.J. and this information, along with the Homer Laughlin trademark and date stamp of 1956, is on the backside of the ashtray. |
