A lovely 7 1/2 inch in diameter commemorative Revolutionary War plate with a design of the Bunker Hill Monument in Boston, Massachusetts. On the backside of the ivory and gold collectible plate is the story of the 3000 British soldiers who amassed under the command of General Howe against the 1000 Colonial troops at Breed’s Hill in 1776.
This W.S. George stamped plate would make a fine addition to any Early American display and is in excellent condition without any cracks or chips. We do note some minor flakes in the gold trim, but nothing that detracts from the plate’s overall fine appearance. |
