Designed as a four-sided owl, this 1974 Lego figurine looks as vibrant and bright as when he was first produced. Dressed in his graduation robe with mortar board and fabric tassel, the wise owl stands 6 1/4 inches tall and is decorated with a variety of proverbs and sayings.
Among some of the printed words are: A true friend is the Best Possession, Temper is Too Good a Thing to Lose, and You’re Wise, Old Owl. In fine vintage condition without any chips, cracks or nicks, this would make a fun gift to a student returning to or leaving for school for the first time. Originally designed as a bank, there is a coin slot on top of the owl’s head. The bottom stopper (missing, replaced) is now covered by a piece of felt. |
