One of the leaders in the quality manufacture of toy guns is Edison Giocattoli of Italy, which began in 1958. The Susanna model is one of their earliest designs and highly collectible. It is all die cast metal construction with a wood and metal hand grip. Near the trigger is a slide device to open the chamber. This takes a round cap sheet with twelve shots.
The twelve ring cap revolver is attractively decorated with a stagecoach scene in black and silver on one side and a cowboy strumming his guitar with his horse nearby on the other side. The gun has the Edison Giocattoli, Made in Italy and the Susanna name printed on the scene.
On the gun we do note some areas where dots of black paint have been worn off, showing the bare metal underneath. Although not perfect, this gun certainly is in fine vintage condition. |
