A very attractive 6 inch in diameter porcelain ashtray done on an inset white background with a transfer design of Cologne’s Kolner Dom Cathedral (printed as Koln-RH-Dom under the scene).

The 1 inch border is mauve in color with delicate flower and leaf design in gold. The four individual cigarette rests are done in heavy gold treatment.
Although there are no manufacturer’s marks on this ashtray, the Cologne city crest and the Cathedral printing would likely make this ashtray of German origin. It is in fine vintage condition without any cracks, chips, or nicks, and by its appearance would have been used for display only.
