A mint green blended with an overlay of antique gold add up to marvelous Art Deco looking Stangl pottery pieces. The wedge-shaped ashtray, measures 8 inches long and is 5 1/2 inches at its widest point. Stamped in gold under the base with the Stangl name, Trenton, N.J., it carries the mold number 3904 and is in terrific condition without cracks, chips, or nicks. The second pottery piece is a 5 1/2 inch diameter fluted edged dish which could be used for candy or mints or just as part of an Art Deco display. The color combination is similar to the ashtray, but it carries the mold #4033 under the base, along with the Stangl name in gold. This dish is without damage issues and both of these pottery pieces were created in the 50’s/70’s time frame. |
