This is a lovely candy dish or simply for display dish created for that very special 50th anniversary celebration. Audrey Walters designed this classic gold on white plate exclusively for the House of Goebel, Bavaria, most likely in the 1980’s time frame.
Measuring 6 inches in diameter, the recessed center of the plate has a delicate lacey scroll pattern done in gold, along with the words, Golden Anniversary. The rim has a fluted design with scalloped edging trimmed in gold.
The plate is in like new condition, and is stamped on the backside with the Goebel name, Bavaria, German and the name of the artist, Audrey Walters. We are including a wooden plate stand to make this Goebel dish display ready. |
