This is an unusual and well-crafted ceramic from American Limoges China.

Based on a card theme of the four playing suits – hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades, American Limoges designed china ware in those shapes with king, queen and jack characters.

The three 1950 time frame pieces we offer are a 10 x 12 inch Jack of Diamonds platter, and two 8 x 9 1/2 inch dinner plates, that can easily be used as serving plates to complement the platter. This trio makes a wonderful arrangement for those card sessions or fun get togethers.

All three are in fine vintage condition without any cracks, chips, or nicks. The only note we make is of crazing on the pieces. Each is stamped on the backside with the American Limoges name, and Casino. The sole previous owner told us that American Limoges successfully marketed these card themed plates in many upscale Las Vegas gift shops during the fifties, not selling them as a set but as separate pieces. Her three plates were in fact purchased there, and were used only for display.
