In his red and white checked jacket with the small straw hat set upon the top of his head, Ringo has a happy, smiling face, and seems ready for some clown hi-jinks. The framed print measures 10 x 12 inches, is matted and glass covered.
The artist, Arthur Sarnoff, who spent thirty years creating print advertisements for such magazines as McCall’s and Red Book, became famous for his humorous paintings of card playing dogs as well as his stylish pin-up calendars.
The lithograph by Arthur Kaplan, Inc of New York City is in very good condition with some age related wear and minor chips in the hardwood frame. |
