Whether called a Conestoga wagon or prairie schooner, this Native American North Dakota ceramic is in fine condition with only some light crazing and is ready for display. Standing 4 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches long, the wagon has the white tarpaulin looking top combined with the brown wagon carriage.
Many a pioneer and new settler traveled long distances in the early prairie schooners and this piece by the North Dakota O-She’-E Indian tribe of Rolla, North Dakota is a marvelous replica of the wagon used to transport families and possessions across a New Land. Incised under the base with the Indian names and E Pee Kay Wee-Nee-Nee. There is also a red crest design under the glaze on the wagon. |
