This marvelous vintage jewelry chest measures 10 1/4 inches tall, 16 inches long and 8 inches wide. The quality furniture piece has a total of eleven lined drawers with eight on the outside and three behind double hinged doors. Magnets on the inside of the doors keep them securely closed.
The two larger lower drawers measure 7 inches wide, 5 1/4 inches deep, and 2 3/4 inches high. The six smaller drawers (3 on left and 3 on right outer side) measure 3 1/4 inches wide, 5 1/4 inches deep and 1 3/4 inches high.
The three drawers behind the hinged doors measure 6 inches wide, 4 1/4 inches deep and 1 5/8 inches high. The assortment of drawer sizes allows room for necklaces, bracelets, rings – all your wonderful treasures.
The jewelry chest was a mother’s graduation gift to her daughter in 1970, and for its forty years of age, it is in fine condition. Intricate beveled and relief design with ornamental hardware enhance the look of this well-crafted chest that is without dings, scratching or scuffing. We do note that two of the smaller drawers have some residue, perhaps nail polish remover on the red lining, and this does show in our pictures.
This is a heavy chest, weighing over 8 1/2 pounds before packaging. |
