This Sarma Studios stoneware set is composed of one tea pot with 4 matching mugs. Tea pot measures 6 1/4 inches tall and is 9 inches from the tip of the spout to the outermost edge of the handle. The four matching 12 ounce mugs are each 4 inches in height and 4 1/2 inches in diameter from the handle across the rim.
Pieces have bulbous, paneled bodies and are done in a dusty rose color with high gloss glaze. The pieces are microwave oven and dishwasher safe.
Marked on the original box in which the mugs came in (which is missing the top of the box) is: Made in Korea for J.C. Penney Company New York, New York. It also shows a reference number which most likely refers to the pattern, 782-0394.
Set is unused, with the Made in Korea paper labels still affixed to the bottom of each piece. Free of any chips, cracks or flakes. Some sand bumps and glaze skips are present on the pieces, which is commonly associated with the manufacturing process of stoneware.
The mugs were initially offered as a set, with the tea pot being sold separately. Here, we offer all pieces for one price, making it affordable for you to prepare for your next tea party or gathering. Set weighs 5 pounds before packaging. |
