This nautical print entitled Whitby is one of the marvelous Kevin Platt renderings of the sights surrounding his adopted home of Cornwell, England. Total framed size measures 7 3/4 x 9 3/8 inches with the print surface measuring 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches.
The port scene features fishing boats and schooners anchored in the harbor. Signed by the artist in the bottom left hand corner, the print and quality oak frame complement each other nicely. Beveled on all four corners, the frame has a shadow box appearance with its combination of round-over molding, relief cut-outs, and angle molding.
The glass covered print is in fine vintage condition and was purchased by its sole previous owner on a trip to England during the 1970’s. The Whitby print is ready for display with an attached saw-toothed hanger on the backside. |
