This excellent condition Ransbottom casserole dish features a blue spongeware treatment with front design of a wheat stalk. The wheat pattern is hard to find in comparison to the plain blue spongeware pattern.
Casserole measures 4 inches tall, excluding the button finial on the lid and 9 1/4 inches in diameter from tab handle to tab handle.
In outstanding, what appears to be unused condition, this piece is free of any chips, cracks or flakes. There is crazing present, however, it is hard to notice. Impressed into the bottom is RRP Co. 1 1/2 QT Roseville, Ohio USA.
This is a heavy piece, weighing close to 5 pounds before packaging. |
