What a terrific display item this is – the original 10 1/2 x 13 1/2 inch music sheet cover for the World War I song, I Don’t Want To Get Well (I’m In Love With A Beautiful Nurse) has been matted, glass covered and hardwood framed. Total framed size measures 16 3/4 x 20 inches and has two pre-drilled holes, at center top and bottom, for mounting to the wall.
The words for this song were written by Harry Pease and Howard Johnson with the music by Harry Jentens. Leo Feist, Inc. of New York is the publisher of the sheet music and all this information appears on the vintage/antique music cover, which is without any rips or tears. We do note that there are water marks present on the backside of the framed print, on the left.
The artwork on this framed memorabilia is wonderful – with the soldier patient in bed, being attended by that beautiful nurse. In the background is a small inset drawing of exploding bombs surrounding two soldiers and a Red Cross emergency vehicle.
If you have ever thought about framing vintage sheet music, here is a ready made opportunity to own a collectable, display worthy and ready for hanging, piece of musical history. |
