This is an excellent condition hard cover book entitled, Chinese Snacks, by Huang Su Huei, who in 1972 had released her first cookbook, Chinese Cuisine. That book was so well received that in July of 1974, her Chinese Snacks cookbook was published.
There are wonderful color pictures on every one of the 183 pages. Savory, or spicy recipes like Saucy Shrimp Noodles and Golden Fried Meat Dumplings are featured along with soup dishes and sweet dishes like Candied Banana Fritters, and Steamed Bread Puddding.
The authentic Chinese recipes originated with the Department of Home Economics of the Wei-Chaun Food Corporation. As the author Huang Su Huei states in her introductory notes, because Chinese cooking is an art as well as a culinary adventure, it is a subjective process, open to variations and changes by the individual doing the cooking. There are a few minor blemishes on front jacket cover, and a tear has been repaired on back jacket, but over-all this cook book has no damage issues – a sturdy intact binding, with no tears or writings on the pages. Attached to the book is a golden fabric ribbon used as a book marker.
