The six vintage shot/whiskey glasses with gold rims measure 2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches across the top. In the set are two glasses featuring the town of Koblenz, and one with a crest and crown design reading Bundesrepublik, Deutschland, rather than a city. There are no cracks, chips or nicks.
1) Bacharach – located in Rhine Gorge – Cathedral scene & Crest
2) St. Goar – located in Rhine Gorge – Town scene & Crest 3) Bingen – original name, Bingium, a Celtic word meaning hole in the rock, the Bingen Loch. Castle scene, which is now a Youth Hostel, and no Crest design.
4) Bundesrepublik, Deutschland – generally known as West Germany in English – the Cold War era term for the Federal Republic of Germany between the years 1968 and 1990.
5) Koblenz (2) – a 2000 year old town, surrounded by 4 low mountains. Horse statue. |
