This 8 3/16 inch diameter plate was produced by the Danbury Mint in 1990 as part of the Dear Diary Garfield the cat series plates.
The limited edition plate was limited to 14 firing days and is entitled The Charming Cat. The front of the plate has the wording Dear Diary with the words I met a charming cat in the mirror this morning on the bottom. The central picture of the plate is that of Garfield writing in his diary by candlelight. Paw prints appear along the outer edge with gold gilt around the rim, and Jim Davis, Garfield creator's name printed on the front.
Backside of plate has Danbury Mint plate info and is numbered 2882 in gold. Not for food use due to the metallic pigments contained in the decorative finish. In great condition, free of any chips, cracks, or flakes. |
