This is a marvelous all surface decorative tin/canister with mini Rajasthani art work. The scenes portray ladies-in-waiting or attendants caring for the king and queen. The canister is 5 inches high, including the lid, and measures 3 1/2 inches square at the base.
At one time, the tin held Ben Rickert bath soap or crystals, but it is now empty. It is in very good vintage condition with some light corrosion to the bottom edge of the lid and the bottom edge of the container.
The interior bottom describes the artist’s work and has the company’s name and location of Wayne, N.J. If you enjoy multi-cultural historic designs, this Ben Rickert tin would be a wonderful display item for a vanity or dresser. |
