This amber glass bottle stands 9 1/2 inches tall and measures 3 7/8 inches in diameter. Marked around the bottle, below the neck, is HY-PRO. This is a machine made bottle with the mold seam running to the top of the neck. The small neck opening would use a cork closure, dating this bottle to an earlier time frame of probably no later than the 1930’s.
Underneath the bottle are the words Union Made with a G on left and A on the right which could be union initials. There is also the maker’s mark of MG for Maywood Glass, which was in business from 1930-1959.
The 32oz amber bottle is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips, just some light scratching to the body. |
