The pink, blue, gold and lavender iridescence gives this set of 4 Lady Pearlwick cups and saucers that visual wow factor with luster on the inside and outside of the cups. The four footed cups are 2 1/2 inches high and measure 3 3/4 inches across the top opening. Four accompanying saucers are 5 3/4 inches in diameter.
Complementing the pearl luster is the 22K gold enhancements, with scroll design and geometric figures, along with gold scalloped edging on the saucers. Purchased at an antique auction estate sale, these Lady Pearlwick pieces had only one previous owner. The four sets are in very good vintage condition, without cracks or chips. We do note that all four saucers have a bubble or dimple under the glaze that occurred during the manufacturing process. One saucer, as well as two cups, also have light crazing. We believe the Mother-of-Pearl lusterware may have been made by Pearl China Company, noted for their iridescent china patterns, often with much gold treatment. Each piece is stamped under the base, Lady Pearlwick, Warranted 22K Gold. We believe this iridescent china is rare and special. Replacements dot com has this china listed as Manufacturer Unknown. |
