Artist Charles M. Russell has been hailed as the premier artist of the American West. Born in 1864, Charles produced over 4,000 during his lifetime, until his death in 1926.
For your consideration, is one of his works, entitled, Heading the Right Way. This is a reproduction of one of his earliest paintings, originally created in the year 1897. This print was rudimentary framed in the year 1973, by Fred Lawson, whose writing can be found in pencil on the back of the framed print. Framed size measures 13 13/16 long by 9 3/4 inches wide.
We are not sure of the age of the print. We do want to mention that the paper on which it is printed is textured, with waviness to the paper noted. Despite this fact, we feel that this print provides an in depth look to the Early American Indian way of life and the hardships that they endured, and has a high collectibility value. |
